2025 CLTA Conference San Diego

Dr. Eva Pando Solís is an award-winning educator with more than 25 years of experience. Her areas of expertise include literacy, curriculum development, English language development, dual language education, and educational leadership.
Eva began her career in her native Spain, teaching Spanish language and literature, English and French. She moved to California to teach in bilingual and immersion programs. Eva is currently a coordinator in the San Diego County Office of Education’s Multilingual Education Department.
Eva has a bachelor’s degree in Education, master’s degrees in English and Spanish, and a doctorate in applied linguistics with a research emphasis in language acquisition. She holds certificates in Reading Recovery® and Spanish/English translation and interpretation. In the year 2000, Eva was selected as “Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year."
