In this session, participants will learn 7 effective, low-prep strategies to create a language-rich, interactive classroom. Participants will walk away with a bank of strategies that target all modes of communication as well as tools to increase motivation, lower the affective filter, provide access to language at every level, and create community and connectedness within their classroom.
This workshop is for CLTA members who are interested in developing their leadership capacity and teaching practice and who are committed to furthering the mission of the California Language Teachers’ Association.
Remember the last time you heard a great story? Our language-learners enjoy hearing stories in class. In fact they enjoy it so much they will forget that they are listening in a different language, they will be so focused on the story, the characters and the action. This is how Comprehensible Input works. Story- Listening was researched and developed by Dr. Stephen Krashen and Dr. Beniko Mason.
