This session will provide an overview of the Language Friendly School's initiative and outline the steps that your school can pursue to become a member of its international network. The network supports schools to create language friendly environments that integrate students' home language into the school's curricula and leverage its language program offerings to create multilingual citizens.

Project-based language learning (PBLL) has been shown to motivate students, but designing projects can be an arduous process. This session uses a museum project inspired by PBLL to provide a template for designing engaging projects that extend beyond the classroom and foster global connectedness even when it is not feasible to include all elements of traditional PBLL.
