A language can have multiple standard varieties, such as Standard American English, Standard British English, and Standard Australian English. Participate in an interactive session to raise linguistic awareness of diversity through credible scenarios among instructors, learners, and administrators. Exchange thoughts on how to address such situations.
In this presentation, participants will gain an enhanced understanding of different types of questions that guide our instruction as world language teachers, such as unit essential questions, focus questions for lessons/activities and how to lead a discussion. They'll also examine different levels of rigor in questions and practice creating high-rigor questions.
